Ottawa/Gatineua – The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) today opened an online consultation to gather views on Internet traffic management practices. The consultation, which is being hosted by Nanos Research, is part of a proceeding launched in November 2008. A public hearing will also be held starting on July 6, 2009, in Gatineau, Que.
Current Internet services have made it possible for Canadians to use new applications and services, such as video streaming and peer-to-peer networking. Certain Internet service providers (ISPs) maintain that this growth in traffic can cause congestion, especially during peak times. This has led some ISPs to manage the flow of traffic on their networks or adopt new business models.

Developer: Rake In Grass
Publisher: Meridian4
Released: March 19 2009
Platform: PC Windows
Genre: Action/Horror
Current Price: $9.99 through their site (also available on Steam)
Rating: Not Rated
In the end of XIX. century dark forces shade the world once again. A brave agent experienced in exorcism and combat comes to face the incoming evil and fight loathsome supernatural monsters and horrific spawns of black magic
Larva Mortus is very reminiscent of the types of games I liked to play way back in the early days of computing – usually on that little-known OS called Windows 3.1. While some in this day and age of heavy 3D graphics may find those early games unbelievably poor in quality, Rake In Grass has

QUEST INFORMATION
managed to develop a fun-to-play action-horror quest and combat property. They’ve included many of the elements which make for a highly addictive and re-playable game – one which I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Okay, so I’m still playing it – but that’s an homage to the developers for the great job they’ve done.
First and foremost I would like to make mention of the soundtrack. It is extremely well-written and produced, and adds much to the spookiness of the environment. It is non-repetitive and won’t grate on your nerves after the first few minutes of play. One thing that I always check at the start of game play is the Options area. I do not usually like to play games in Full Screen mode on my PC, as I usually have other things going on at the same time. I was happy to see that Rake In Grass included that all important Screen Mode choice in their options, allowing me to play in a smaller window. For those who do not like gore in their games, it’s also possible to turn off the gore. I happen to like gore, so that control remained active.

ParetoLogic finds itself a rare safe haven, after a variant of the Conficker virus blocks access to other popular security programs. Many infected users are expected to turn to ParetoLogic, having little other option in removing the pernicious threat
Victoria BC – A wildfire has broken out in the computer security world, in the form of the Conficker C virus. As long standing companies find themselves cut short by the threat, young and innovative companies rise to take their place, with ParetoLogic at the forefront.
Conficker C, which also goes by the name Downadup, has presented a new and devastating payload to
infected users. The virus, according to a report by the Computer Science Laboratory of SRI International, attacks specific vulnerable Windows DLLs related to domain name resolution and caching. The worm then inserts a collection of anti-virus company names, and forbids their access. The result: users who attempt to visit most online security vendors find the sites unavailable, and they are therefore unable to remove the Conficker C infection. The list of affected companies is extensive, but still more notable for the heavy hitters listed, including Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro, Symantec, Avast and AVG. ParetoLogic Anti-Virus PLUS is not listed, and by virtue of its absence the program can still be accessed and downloaded. Accordingly, it is one of the few available security solutions which can protect against the Conficker worm.
